Answer:
Inserting backgrounds into your lessons directly from your saved pictures is so easy! With MimioStudio open, choose Insert-Background-Image. Browse for the picture you want, and open it. At this point, you can also choose how you want the picture placed, and whether it is to go on one page or on all pages of the lesson. Click OK, and the picture becomes the background of your page.

You can also save your favorites in your Gallery for ease of retrieval. With the Gallery open, click on New Folder in the toolbar. This will open a folder, which you can name anything you like. To save pictures to this folder, choose Insert File from the Gallery toolbar. Choose your picture, and it will appear in the Gallery folder. This method will keep all your favorites in one place for future use.

    Question:

How do I convert my handwriting to text recognition in my notebook?

    • Submitted By:
      Nita Springle
    • Date:
      Dec. 18, 2013

    Answer:

The process is fairly straight-forward when doing the conversion. You need to first highlight the writing you want to convert. To do this, choose the selection tool from your toolbar (it's the arrow on the top, in the left hand column). Click and drag from the upper left hand corner of the writing to the lower right hand corner of the writing. You want to make sure you cover all of the writing. A box gets created around the writing. Now, do one of two things, click on [Ctrl + R] or go to Tools in the menu and choose "Recognize ink." I wouldn't recommend going to Edit and clicking on "select all" to convert everything at once because that will convert the handwriting into text lined up in a column. If you had writing randomly done throughout the notebook page and wanted to keep that format, it would be lost if you used the select all method. One other thing to keep in mind is that the larger your handwriting is to start, when converted, it will be a larger sized text. If you want to keep it large, that is fine but you now have the option to make it smaller, just like with any text being editable.
