Pocket Chart Word Builder Plus: CVC

This lesson is an extension to the Pocket Chart Word Builder activity. Students listen to a CVC word, create it in the pocket chart, and use a self-correcting reveal to check for accuracy.

I would recommend using this lesson after using the Pocket Chart Word Builder activity and familiarizing students with the concepts of the pocket chart. Introduce this lesson as a whole group activity, and then have all students manipulate the lesson at once, using a classroom laptop cart or a computer lab. Use the MimioVote questions as a whole group assessment to check for understanding.

I have been looking for some

I have been looking for some simple CVC activities for my Kindergarten students and this is great! I love the variety and the ability to self-check. I also like that they have to use listening skills as well as visual skills in these slides. Thanks!

Word Builder

You word builder mimios are perfect for primary grades. They are engaging but simple and quickly teach/review the skill at hand. Thank you for sharing your work.
