Brain Pop Jr.

Summary:

Brain Pop Jr is a must for all elementary classrooms. The content is excellent, the timing perfect, the characters superb, and the learning just keeps going on and on. It also presents questions that are written on the side (for visual learners) that can be paused to encourage collaboration of students.

The learning set up is like watching a cartoon adventure and the kids LOVE it.
I use it for all areas and especially like the science and social studies units for bringing so many topics into our day.

Brainpop in the classroom

I am a believer of Brainpop, many different topics to choose from, and extremely beneficial for ELL students. Gives the simple explanation using lots of visual and graphics complimenting any selected theme, but unfortunately, there is one costly catch, it is expensive, and only one license can be used in the classroom at one time. My school had it for 2 years, and I was hooked, my lessons were complemented and easly followed by my low and non-English speakers. When the school pulled out the program, I was crushed, and made my life very difficult to find something with similar quality.
