Ready to “get out the vote?” Using MimioVote assessment is particularly appropriate when teaching about the 2012 elections. The Presidential and Congressional elections are in the news, in the media, and in everyday conversations, so even the youngest students are motivated to learn about them. Teaching about the elections is also a fresh way to cover state and local standards.
In this lesson, students will learn about the Presidential election process through a variety of fun and engaging interactive activities. The Electoral College is explained in a fun and meaningful way for each grade level! Be sure to download the appropriate grade leveled lesson to suit your classroom needs.
Each lesson is designed to incorporate relevant topics tied to the 2012 Presidential and Congressional election. Lessons in this series were developed to support the “Get Out the Vote” lesson supplement created by Mimio. Download the PDF of this resource here.

I am quite impressed with the quality of the content coupled with the engaging interaction you've put into this lesson and this entire series. I teach a media literacy class for 11/12th grade and during this election these lessons have been fantastic to help my students both familiarize themselves with the material and the mimio tools.
Additionally, it has motivated me to work on some of my own mimio materials. I have worked up a lesson on the Federal budget (spending and revenue) that I am soon to post and would love some feedback. Considering how much time that 3 slide workbook took me, I have much admiration for the hours you've put in. Thank you.
