Slide 1 students read the title to identify author's purpose. Slide 2 students read the first paragraph to identify the main idea. Slide 3 students read the entire page and then click on the phrases that are the supporting details to the main idea. Slide 4 asks students to identify the text features from another page of the text.

I like this! Students need

I like this! Students need the practice with non-fiction text and I like the slide with information on text features. This is good review as we prepare for EOG.
