Students will decode a message using coordinates on a graph. Students will plot coordinates and create a shape. Students will also play on teams to roll the dice and be the first to get three coordinates in a row.

This was a phenomenal lesson. It was enagaing, filled with rigor, and aligned with the standards. Students will love it as they are being challenged to crack the code and can even play each other while learning coordinates. The interactive die are a plus. Great LESSON!

This is a really great set of activities. Wish I taught this so I could use it. One small detail I noted. You left the number 5 off of the x axis on the last 2 slides, an easy fix for sure.

Coordinates

WOW! What a great lesson. This lesson provides numerous activities for students to show that they have a understanding of plotting coordinates. This lesson can be used at various point of a co ordinate’s unit. I really like the fact that the lesson provided for individual and group work. I can't wait to share this lesson with my teachers.
