Is there a trick to using the mimio teach and the mimio pad together?

MimioTeach and the MimioPad
I love my MimioPad! Speaking from my own experience, I simply take the USB receiver on the underside of the MimioPad and put that into one of the ports on my computer. Once this is done, I make sure my pad is turned on and then I'm ready to go. Keep in mind that the 2 devices can be used in conjunction with one another but not simultaneously (either the MimioTeach stylus can be used with the notebook content or the MimioPad pen). The MimioPad allows me (or anyone else that I might pass it off to) to control the actions of the board without having to be up at the board. I have had kids who wanted to do whatever the activity or problem was from their seat using the Pad, while others walk up to the board and use the MimioTeach stylus. There are also times when we are brainstorming and just pass the MimioPad around the room adding to a spontaneous list we're creating. Other times we use it to solve math problems. The possibilities are only limited by your creativity and imagination. The MimioPad's technology innately allows the teacher to manage their classroom more effectively, from delivering content to student engagement, allowing for optimal learning experiences. Should you be experiencing any technical difficulties with the MimioPad, you might contact the tecnical support team at this link: http://mimio.dymo.com/en-US/Support/Technical-Support.aspx I hope some of this was a help. Once you get up and going with the MimioPad, I know that you'll enjoy yours as much as I have enjoyed mine. It's become a valuable (and easily integrated) technology tool addition to my cadre of Mimio tools in my classroom!

I am going to pass your information on long to the classrooms at our school that have pads. (we purchased the pad and teach together and then separated them as a way to save money) The teachers that have the pad seem not to use it as much as the teachers with the teach. In addition to what is above does anyone have any other ideas to get them using it more?????

Thank you so much for the clarity when using the mimio Pad. I was not comfortable with it when we ended the school year, but with your direction, I am ready to get started with it from the beginning of the new school year. Yeah!
