Ordinal Numbers

Lesson focuses on ordinal numbers 1st-10th. Students will sequence and identify ordinal numbers 1-10. Then they will pop balloons to find fishes hiding under ordinal numbers by saying the ordinal number of the balloon being popped.

Learning Intention: I am learning to apply my place value knowledge. Students move rings onto the abacus to show the number. This fits into the New Zealand numeracy project in Book 4, Teaching Number Knowledge.

Birthday Cake
