Mimio 8 - Mimio 7

Is it possible to save my work in Mimio 8 in a way that my colleague can open it in Mimio 7?
I really like the new features in 8 and I don't really want to return to 7.

Studio 8 & 7

I always get it confused. If I make something at home in Studio 8, will it work when I try to use it in Studio 7 on my school computer? Or is it the other way around that won't work?

Studio 8 compatibility

MimioStudio 8 like many software applications isn't backwards compatible. You won't be able to open MimioStudio 8 files if you have MimioStudio 7 installed. You will be able to open any MimioStudio 7 file if you have MimioStudio 8. You can solve this pretty easily by downloading the most current version of MimioStudio at no cost as all downloads and updates of the software are free. Not that I am aware of, but you can have your colleague update to MimioStudio 8 for free.

My whole school division is

My whole school division is still using Mimio 7. When you say you can upgrade for free, does this apply to an entire school division as well?

School software upgrade

Yes! The software license is a building wide license so if you have it installed, you are completely able to update to the newest versions for free. You can do the same on any computer you use whether at school or home. You can enable the auto-update feature within the software so you'll get notified when an update is available by clicking Tools>Settings>Software Update and click on the box for "Notify me when updates are available".
